Techfil™PC Polycarbonate (PC) is a technical material with excellent layer adhesion, tensile strength and temperature resistance due to its high dimensional stability, high rigidity, stable shape at high temperatures, excellent electrical insulating properties and high impact resistance. PC is an excellent material for use in the automotive industry, the manufacture of mobile phones (touchscreen components for consoles and dashboards, diving masks, protective covers, white goods and consumer electronics, aerospace, prototyping and many other industries. PC is also an incompatible material successfully used in the medical and pharmaceutical industries. The material is non-toxic and safe for the human body.
Applications
-
-
- Prototyping – Its accuracy and print quality make it a frequent choice for designersand engineers to create prototypes and models.
- Tools and accessories – It can be used to print simple tools, handles, housings orother practical everyday objects.
- Medical , its biocompatibility makes it a suitable material for medical applications.
- Industrial , for applications requiring high mechanical loading. Has high impact anddamage resistance. Use in applications requiring contactwith high temperatures. The material can be used in a temperature range from -40°C to as high as 130°Cwithout losing its mechanical properties.
- For applications where transparency or light transmission is required.
- Thanks to its high chemical resistance, it is used in applications where there iscontact with aggressive chemical environments.
- Used in applications where electrical insulation is required, such as electronicenclosures or electrotechnical components.
- For applications where weight reduction is required (aerospace, automotive).
